WHITE
Kolindale Stud breeds a large, long White Suffolk ram with meat through the loin and the back-end. This easy care prime lamb breed adapts well in tough conditions and a quick growth rate makes them well suited to meat producers by providing the opportunity to turn off lambs quicker. These rams are well suited to breed with Merino ewes as they are an easy lambing type.
ASHBOURNE STUD
The Ashbourne White Suffolk Stud was purchased in 2021 from Simon Kerin, Katanning. Rams will be available for purchase at the Kolindale On Property Ram Sale from 2022.
BREEDING PROGRAM
Kolindale has an extensive artificial insemination program which sources the best genetics to ensure our clients have a large selection of even rams available for their commercial flock breeding needs.
2022 saw the addition of Yonga Downs 98 at the Perth Royal Show All Breeds Ram & Ewe sale and in 2018 Golden Hill 105 ram purchased for $20,000 at Wagin WA Elite White Suffolk & Suffolk Sale. This stud ram was produced with genetics from Bundarra Downs 170105 and a Wheeteland ewe.
2017 Royal Adelaide Show Supreme White Suffolk ram was purchased for $17,000 from Ramsay Park Stud. This May 2016 drop ram weighed 131kgs, with 15mm fat depth and 48mm eye muscle depth.
2016 Booloola Stud sire was purchased for $7,000. Born July 2015, the twin weighed 138kg in August 2016 with a 52mm eye muscle. Semen was purchased for use in an AI program with Anden Stud sale topper, Cruiser 277, sold in 2016 for $68,000.
2015 three White Suffolk sires were purchased at the Perth Royal Show All Breeds Stud Ram and Ewe Sale, including the 2015 Grand Champion White Suffolk. The impressive ram was purchased from Kiara Stud for $18,500.
HISTORY
The highly awarded Yanda White Suffolk stud was purchased from the Argent family in 2015. The stud was founded in 1997 and has become one of Western Australia’s largest White Suffolk studs with the addition of key White Suffolk bloodlines from around Australia throughout the years.
